आज सचिवालय में मुख्यमंत्री श्री तीरथ सिंह रावत की अध्यक्षता में यूजेवीएनएल द्वारा निर्माण, स्वामित्व और संचालन (BOO) के आधार पर 22 मेगा वाट एवं 16 मेगावाट बगास आधारित सह-उत्पादन विद्युत परियोजना तथा बाजपुर और नादेही चीनी मिलों के समीपवर्ती आधुनिकरण के क्रियान्वयन के संबंध में बैठक आयोजित की गई। बैठक में ऊर्जा विभाग, वित्त विभाग, गन्ना एवं चीनी मिल विभाग द्वारा इस परियोजना का विस्तृत प्रस्तुतीकरण कर चर्चा की गई। बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री से तीरथ सिंह रावत ने गन्ना एवं चीनी मिल विभाग को निर्देश दिए हैं कि चीनी मिलों को आधुनिकीकरण एवं पुनर्जीवित करने के लिए बेहतर विकल्प की तलाश करें । मुख्यमंत्री श्री तीरथ सिंह रावत गन्ना विभाग को यह भी निर्देश दिए कि बगास आधारित ऊर्जा उत्पादन सम्बन्धी एक अलग से प्रस्ताव तैयार कर शासन को जल्द से जल्द भेजा जाए। बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री के मुख्य सलाहकार श्री शत्रुघ्न सिंह, विशेष कार्यधिकारी श्री जे सुंदरियाल, सचिव ऊर्जा श्रीमती राधिका झा, सचिव वित्त श्रीमती सौजन्या, प्रभारी सचिव ऊर्जा नीरज ख़ैरवाल समेत तमाम अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।
