मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने शुक्रवार को आई.आर.डी.टी सभागार, सर्वे चौक, देहरादून में जौनसार बाबर के प्रथम कवि पं. शिवराम जी द्वारा रचित काव्य संग्रह ’रमणी जौनसार ’ एवं पं. शिवराम शर्मा जी के व्यक्तित्व व कृतित्व पर केन्द्रित ग्रंथ ’जौनसार बावर के जननायक पं. शिवराम’ पुस्तक का विमोचन किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि चकराता क्षेत्र में पंडित शिवराम शर्मा जी मूर्ति लगाये जाने के लिए प्रस्ताव आयेगा तो उस क्षेत्र में उनकी मूर्ति स्थापित की जायेगी। उनके द्वारा लिखी गई कविताओं का संग्रह कर संजोया जायेगा।
मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने पं. शिवराम जी की पुण्यतिथि पर उन्हें नमन करते हुए कहा कि पं. शिवराम जी की कविता संकलनों से नई पीढ़ी को व्यापक रूप से पुराने गौरवशाली इतिहास के बारे में पता चलेगा। पंडित शिवराम जी ने हिंदी को अपनी अभिव्यक्ति का माध्यम बनाया। उन्होंने अपना जीवन समाजिक कार्यों के लिए समर्पित किया एवं कविताओं के माध्यम से समाज में अलख जगाने का कार्य किया। उनके संघर्ष एवं उनके द्वारा किए गए कार्यों को आने वाली पीढ़ियों को अपनी स्मृति में लाना जरूरी है। उन्होंने कहा उनकी रचनाओं के माध्यम से अन्य महापुरुषों से भी परिचय होता है।
